AT&T Are The Absolute Worst
I’ve been using AT&T’s mobile service for the past 12 years. Although I’ve generally been happy with the service, I’ve never liked their pushy salespeople (especially when it comes to ‘promoting’ their internet and TV services – which I’ve succumbed to twice, before rapidly ditching it again). But recently they absolutely outdid themselves. I’ve had a group family plan for several years, which cost me $75 a month (++ taxes and fees..) for the plan then a cost per phone line on top of this this. Lady Godawful
Last week I was at the SAPPHIRE conference, in Orlando, FL. It’s a big, corporate event, and they do a pretty good job of looking after the 30,000 attendees, from providing free food and beverages (Coke and Pepsi so as to not curry favor!) throughout the conference, to laying on company-sponsored dinners and drinks in the evenings (and into the very early hours…). The last night of the conference always features a live band or performer, and this year that was Lady Gaga. Come Downtown And See The Show
Yesterday I was back out on the town to see another live band. This one was a bit off my usual radar: Guster. Ever late to the party, I hadn’t even heard of them until a friend insisted I listen to her favorite album ever, which was Lost and Gone Forever by the said Guster. Senior Underachiever
Every so often my wonderful work wife Trisha drags me out to some social function or other, like I’m a pet project and she’s studying the effects of enforced recreation on misanthropes.
